Voter Registration for Upcoming Elections

European Parliament and Local Elections, Friday, 7th June, 2024

Voter registration

Polling stations are open from 7.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m.

To vote you must be:

  • At least 18 years of age on polling day.
  • Ordinarily resident at the address at which you wish to be registered.
  • Your name must be on the Register of Electors.

Irish Citizens and EU citizens can vote at the European Parliament and local elections.

Non-EU citizens can vote at the local elections.

You can check online at https://www.checktheregister.ie/en-IE/ to see if you are on the register of electors.

If your name is not on the register of electors, or you need to update your details, you can submit an online application at https://www.checktheregister.ie/en-IE/

Hard copy forms (ERF1) are available to download at: https://www.clarecoco.ie/your-council/voting/register/

Completed applications must be submitted to Clare County Council on or before Monday, 20th May, 2024.

Postal and Special Voters

Completed applications to be on the postal voters or special voters lists must be received on or before Saturday, 11th May, 2024 by either email to register@clarecoco.ie or by post to Clare County Council, Franchise Section, New Road, Ennis, Co. Clare.

Notice regarding Electoral Register Appeals

I hereby give you notice that:

  1. The latest date for the receipt of Appeals in respect of the Register of Electors of the County of Clare in advance of the Local and European elections shall be Wednesday 22nd May 2024 at 4:30 p.m.
  2. All such Appeals will be heard by the County Registrar of Clare Circuit Court, sitting at the Courthouse, Lifford Road, Ennis, County Clare, and should be directed by post or personal delivery to that address.
  3. Any Appeals received after the final date shall not be considered by the County Registrar until after Polling Day for above Referendums.

  2. Éistfidh Cláraitheoir Contae Chúirt Chuarda Contae an Chláir le gach Achomharc den sórt sin, ina shuí i dTeach na Cúirte, Inis, agus ba chóir iad a threorú tríd an bpost nó trí sheachadadh pearsanta chuig an seoladh sin.
  3. Ní bhreithneoidh an Cláraitheoir Contae aon Achomhairc a gheofar tar éis an dáta deiridh go dtí tar éis Lá na Vótála do na toghcháin thuas.
